Let’s Go Legal Office Hours are a free service from Communities Rise and the Nonprofit Association of Washington which provides an opportunity to dive deeper into some of the topics discussed at the Let’s Go Legal webinar. During the Office Hours, participants will be able to spend up to 20 minutes talking directly with an attorney from Communities Rise who can help participants better understand the material and answer questions. For example, one could use this time to learn more about nonprofit Bylaws, or required benefits for employees, or unrelated business income tax under 501(c)(3) law. To best utilize the 20 minute appointment time, it helps to have one or two specific legal topics in mind that you would like to discuss.
Important Note: This service is available only to those who attended the online Let’s Go Legal webinar on June 4, 2025. The Office Hours are provided for educational purposes only and to answer general questions about the law. The Office Hours are not a proper venue for seeking legal advice or for asking questions that are very specific to your organization’s unique circumstances. The attorney at the Office Hours will not form an attorney-client relationship with your organization, and as a result, the conversation is unlikely to be protected by attorney-client privilege. If your organization needs legal advice and cannot afford an attorney, contact Communities Rise to see if your organization qualifies for free legal services.
