DESCRIPTION: Join us to critically examine the institutional foundation of our work in the nonprofit sector and to raise consciousness towards a framework of solidarity that opens up new liberatory possibilities. This training will be most beneficial for organizational leaders interested in divesting from traditional leadership models rooted in western frameworks. \nAgenda\n\nSettling in\nPositionality\nExamining our Content\nConcrete ways to Support the People's Movement\nWhat is possible\n\nShifting our paradigm\nCollectivizing our fights\nCultivating Hope\nTransforming Joy\n\n\nCloseout\n\nPresenter\n\n\nRae Minji Lee\nRae Minji Lee (they/them) is a neurodivergent anti-war organizer who has spent 8 years working in the nonprofit sector as a communications professional. Their experience fighting for a union in the workplace at a statewide environmental advocacy nonprofit planted the seeds of their transformation into an organizer. During this historic time, they are now fully prioritizing building the people's movement alongside many other dedicated organizers and grassroots activists. They have a B.A. in Neuroscience as well as a B.A. in Fine Arts from Pomona College, and an M.C. in Communication Leadership through the University of Washington. When they are not having organizing conversations or planning actions, they are either birding, playing Irish fiddle, making zines, or creating risograph bird prints to fundraise for Seattle Against War (SAW) where they are the current Chair. \n \nThis training is sponsored by Communities of Opportunity and we thank them for their partnership.\n\nFor details, click here: https://communitiesrise.secure.nonprofitsoapbox.com/component/events/event/43
